Icosa-Dodecahedron Pendant

Icosa-Dodecahedron Pendant

An icosaeder is one of the platonic bodies of holy geometry. The platonic bodies were first described by the philosopher Plato (hence the name) around 400 BC.
But these special shapes are excavated all over the world and have been older than Plato for thousands of years.

The icosaeder is primarily for transformation, changes and "go with the flow". This form is strongly linked to creativity and can also strengthen it, but it also connects with sexuality and fertility. In addition, the shape can help to eradicate emotional blockages.

The dodecaeder stands for the expression and creation of life and the highest form of consciousness. This form contains a high vibration that can help increase your own vibration and those of the environment. It is the perfect meditation tool to get in touch with your higher self, higher dimensions and the source.

But what exactly is a platonic solid? A platonic solid is a spatial figure which has 4 certain characteristics: All faces are the same size, all the edges have the same length, all the interior angles between the faces are the same and if the figure is put inside a sphere, all the points must touch the surface of the sphere. The most commonly known platonic solid is the cube: all the faces are the same (a square), all the edges are the same length and all the angles between the faces are the same (in this case 90 degrees).

The origin of the platonic solids (the cube, tetrahedron, octahedron, dodecahedron and icosahedron) is in Metatron’s Cube, which has its origin in the Flower of Life.

The reason why the platonic solids are so sacred is because they contain every possible molecular connection and contain all possible geometric laws of this reality and the universe we live in. Basically it’s the blueprint of all matter.
The platonic solids are also connected to the four elements and our chakras:

- Earth & 1st chakra (Cube)
- Air & heart chakra (octahedron)
- Fire & Solar Plexus (tetrahedron)
- Water & Sacral chakra (icosahedron)
- Prana/Ether/Universe & 6th, 7th, 8th chakra (dodecahedron).

The icosahedron its key functions are transformation, change and “go with the flow”. This shape is closely connected to creativity and it will enhance it. It is also closely connected to sexuality and fertility. It will also help you to remove emotional blockages.

The dodecahedron its key functions are expression and divine creation of life and the highest form of consciousness. This shape contains a very high frequency that helps raising your own frequency and the frequency of the environment. It’s the perfect tool for meditation and getting in contact with your higher self, higher dimensions and the source.

These two platonic solids also have a unique relation with each other. They are the parameters of the DNA, the blueprint of all life. If these two shapes are stacked and connect the corners with a line, a spiral appears with the exact structure as the one of DNA.

The pendant is an icosahedron with a small dodecahedron within it.

A Few More Words About Sebastiaan

I often got asked; why jewelry? Are you a goldsmith?
And I always answer : "Nope, I’m not a goldsmith, but a designer who knows what he does combined with a passion for Sacred Geometry."

So, let me introduce myself:

Why jewelry?
“I didn’t choose this career. It chose me.” is the most obvious (and cheesy) answer, but my story won’t be boring. Promised.

During my studentship I loved (and I still do) 3D modelling.
When I learned about the existence of 3D printers an entire world of possibilities opened up for me, but jewelry wasn’t one of the possibilities I thought of.

It was the crop circle vacation trip in 2014 with Janet Ossebaard and Coen Vermeeren that changed my life (plot twist).
After this spectacular journey I got asked to design and 3D print crop circle jewelry.

And I liked it! I liked it so much, I started my own business in it.
So I’m really not a goldsmith, but a designer who knows what he does and loves Sacred Geometry.

The name BewustDsign
I got often asked why BewustDsign is spelled without the “e” and if this was done on purpose.
The answer is yes, because it has a deep meaning.

The name BewustDsign originates from the two words bewustzijn (consciousness) and design with the underlying meaning of the sign Delta (D-sign).
In mathematics, Delta (Δ) means change. For BewustDsign it means change in consciousness (bewustzijn).
